We are hiring a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Herning. As a DBA, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Your primary goal will be to ensure data integrity, security, and availability while also assisting with database development and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor and maintain database performance and capacity
- Troubleshoot and resolve any database-related issues
- Create backup and recovery strategies
- Develop data models and implement schema changes as needed
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls and backups
- Collaborate with other teams to support application development
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and upgrades

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (DBMS)
- Familiarity with SQL programming language
- Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, backups, and recovery strategies
- Understanding of data modeling and schema design principles
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently

Preferred:
- Certification in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
