Contract Preservation Architect
A preservation architect is responsible for the restoration, conservation, and maintenance of historical buildings and landmarks. They assess the structural integrity of these sites and develop plans for their preservation and restoration. As a contract preservation architect, you will work on short-term projects to assess and plan for the preservation of historical sites in the city of Herning. This position is ideal for students or individuals without prior experience in architectural preservation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to assess the condition of historical buildings and landmarks
- Develop plans for the preservation and restoration of these sites, ensuring compliance with conservation guidelines
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and contractors on restoration projects
- Prepare reports and presentations on project progress for clients and government agencies
- Research historical information and materials to inform restoration plans
- Oversee construction work to ensure adherence to plans and conservation standards
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field
- Knowledge of architectural preservation principles, techniques, and materials
- Strong research skills with attention to detail
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in relevant software programs (e.g. AutoCAD)
- Biometric passport required for travel to site locations within Herning
Salary:
This is a contract position with a salary of 900$ per month.
Location:
This job is based in Herning but may require travel within the city.
