Part-Time Preservation Architect
Location: Herning, Denmark
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team on a part-time basis in Herning, Denmark. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving historic buildings and structures while also ensuring they meet modern safety and accessibility standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine their preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans that balance the historical significance of the building with modern safety and accessibility requirements
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to implement preservation plans
- Monitor construction progress to ensure preservation guidelines are being followed
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure proper maintenance of preserved buildings
- Keep up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to historic preservation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Preservation Architect
- Strong knowledge of historic preservation principles and techniques
- Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and accessibility requirements
- Excellent communication skills for working with clients, contractors, and other professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in AutoCAD or other architectural design software
Salary:
The salary for this part-time position is 1300$ per month.
