Head Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant


We are in search of a talented Head Chef to lead our fine dining restaurant kitchen team in Herning, Denmark. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing a high-quality menu, managing kitchen operations and staff, and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a Head Chef in fine dining establishments, strong leadership and communication skills, and a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes using fresh, local ingredients. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1100 per month, plus accommodation in Herning. Visa sponsorship is available for non-EU candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design seasonal menus with creative and unique dishes
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently produced
- Maintain inventory levels and order necessary supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Manage costs to meet budgetary requirements
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service experience for guests
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu development

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Head Chef in fine dining restaurants
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) with fluency in English; Danish language skills are a plus
- Passion for creating unique dishes using fresh, local ingredients
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
