Head Chef
As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests. You will lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance when needed. Your creativity and expertise in creating delicious dishes will be key in maintaining our restaurant's reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create menus that showcase our culinary expertise and appeal to our guests
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring all dishes are executed to perfection
- Manage inventory levels and food costs, while maintaining high standards of quality
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and specials based on seasonal ingredients
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Monitor portion sizes and presentation to maintain consistency in taste and appearance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and ingredients
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high quality standards
- Attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends
Salary: $1300 per month
