Head Pastry Chef
We are in need of a skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at a prestigious bakery in Herning, Denmark. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department and ensuring the highest quality products are consistently produced.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new pastry recipes that adhere to our bakery's standards and customer preferences
- Train and supervise pastry staff, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent quality and efficiency
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, ordering as needed to avoid shortages
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning at optimal levels
- Collaborate with other chefs to plan menus for special events or seasonal offerings
- Monitor food costs, making adjustments as needed to maintain profitability
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role, with a portfolio of successful creations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- In-depth knowledge of various pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and safety procedures
- Creativity and innovation in recipe development while also adhering to traditional techniques
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in Danish (preferred) or English with good communication skills
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month for this full-time position.
