Head Pastry Chef

We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Herning, Denmark. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry kitchen, including menu planning, recipe development, and training and managing a team of pastry chefs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new pastry recipes and menu items that align with our restaurant's concept and standards
- Manage inventory and order supplies to ensure proper stock levels are maintained
- Train, mentor, and supervise pastry chefs to ensure consistency in quality and presentation
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create seasonal menus that incorporate desserts and pastries
- Monitor food costs and work within budget constraints while maintaining high-quality ingredients
- Continuously strive to improve techniques and introduce new trends in the pastry industry
- Work closely with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification
- Extensive knowledge of different types of pastries, desserts, chocolate work, bread making, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience creating cost-effective menus while maintaining high-quality ingredients
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends

Salary:
