Masonry Specialist

A reputable construction company in Herning is seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team. As a Masonry Specialist, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures made of brick, stone, and other materials. You will work on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial buildings. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1300$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Lay and bind building materials such as brick, concrete block, structural tile, and terra cotta to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, sewers, and other structures
- Measure distance from reference points and mark guidelines on working surfaces to lay out work
- Mix mortar and grout according to standard formulas
- Cut or saw bricks or blocks to required size using hand or power tools
- Remove excess mortar with trowels and hand tools while the mortar is still pliable
- Clean excess mortar from surface of brickwork or cement using brush or trowel
- Construct corners by fastening in plumb position a corner pole or building corner blocks
- Determine vertical and horizontal alignment of courses using plumb bob, gauge line, and level

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason or similar role
- Knowledge of masonry techniques and methods
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring repetitive bending, lifting, and standing for long periods
- Attention to detail
- Good manual dexterity
- Team player with excellent communication skills
