Junior Back-End Developer


We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Junior Back-End Developer to join our growing team in the beautiful city of Faroe Islands. As a Junior Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the back-end systems of our company's software applications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to ensure smooth integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Design and implement efficient database structures for data storage and retrieval
- Develop and maintain APIs for seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing codebase
- Continuously optimize application performance and scalability

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and object-oriented design principles
- Proficiency in at least one back-end programming language (e.g. Java, Python, Ruby)
- Experience with database design, development, and optimization
- Familiarity with web development concepts such as HTTP, REST, and JSON
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of front-end languages (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)

Salary: 1600$
