Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Faroe-Islands. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing machine learning algorithms and models to solve complex business problems. You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging machine learning techniques in various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, mathematics, and statistics, as well as experience with programming languages such as Python or R. A passion for problem-solving, critical thinking and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing machine learning models and algorithms
- Collaborating with data scientists to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for using machine learning
- Clean and preprocess data to prepare it for analysis
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns
- Use appropriate machine learning techniques such as regression, clustering, or deep learning
- Evaluate the performance of models and make necessary adjustments
- Work closely with software engineers to deploy models into production systems
- Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning techniques and tools

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- Experience working with programming languages such as Python or R
- Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering etc.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch is preferred
- Experience working with big data tools like Hadoop or Spark is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
