Database Administrator (Remote)


We are seeking a talented Database Administrator to join our team in the beautiful city of Faroe Islands. As a remote position, you will have the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home while still being a valuable member of our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in database administration and be able to handle large amounts of data efficiently. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our databases, ensuring their security, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain our company's databases
- Ensure database security and backup procedures are in place
- Troubleshoot any database issues that may arise
- Develop and implement data retrieval and storage strategies
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database structure, theories, principles, and practices
- Proficiency in SQL language and data management tools
- Experience with database design, documentation, and coding standards
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS or Azure

Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)

This is a contract position with the possibility of extension. Accommodation can be provided for non-local candidates. Visa sponsorship is also available for qualified candidates.
