Entry-Level Typesetter

As an Entry-Level Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images for various print or digital publications. Your main duty will be to ensure that all content is visually appealing and error-free. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, has a strong understanding of typography and design principles, and is looking to start their career in the publishing industry.

Responsibilities:
- Receive manuscripts and prepare them for publishing by applying appropriate formatting styles
- Proofread materials to ensure accurate spelling and grammar
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to create visually appealing layouts
- Use specialized software to adjust spacing, fonts, and other elements of the text
- Make necessary changes based on feedback from clients or team members
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in typesetting

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of typography principles and design software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors in text
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Location: This position is located in Faroe Islands. While preference will be given to local candidates, we are open to considering applicants from other countries as well.

Compensation: The salary for this position starts at $1700 per month.

Note: This is an entry-level position, so prior experience in typesetting is not required. We are also happy to provide assistance with finding suitable accommodation for the selected candidate. Additionally, we will cover the cost of the visa application process as well as provide a free ticket for travel to Faroe Islands.
