Formwork Specialist

As a Formwork Specialist, you will be responsible for building and installing temporary structures used to support concrete during construction. You will work closely with engineers and construction teams to ensure safety and accuracy in the assembly of formwork. This role requires a skilled individual with experience in carpentry, construction, and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and plans to determine appropriate formwork design
- Construct formwork using various materials such as wood, steel, or aluminum
- Install formwork according to specifications and safety standards
- Ensure proper alignment and stability of formwork structures
- Monitor and adjust formwork as needed during concrete pouring process
- Remove formwork after concrete has set and clean up site
- Inspect formwork for any damage or defects and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Train and supervise Formworking Assistants on proper techniques and safety protocols

Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Formworker or Carpenter in the construction industry
- Proficient in reading blueprints and plans
- Strong knowledge of different types of formwork materials, tools, and techniques
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license (preferred)

Salary: $1100 USD per month, depending on experience.

City: Faroe Islands (preference for local candidates)
