Industrial Alpinist
As an Industrial Alpinist based in Faroe-Islands, you will be responsible for performing tasks at high altitudes or in difficult-to-reach areas, using specialized climbing techniques and equipment. You will work on various industrial projects such as building maintenance, construction, and inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rope access work to access and complete tasks at heights or in confined spaces
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Install and remove scaffolding, ropes, and other equipment as needed for each job
- Conduct safety checks before starting any task and ensure all safety protocols are followed throughout the project
- Complete tasks such as cleaning, painting, welding, or repairs while on rope
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute projects efficiently and safely
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Industrial Alpinist or similar role
- Knowledge of industrial rope access techniques and equipment
- Ability to work well under pressure in high-risk environments
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
Qualifications:
- Certification in IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) or SPRAT (Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians)
- Valid driver's license and own transportation (preferred)
- Own visa (if non-national)
Salary:
Starting salary of $1400 per month with potential for increase based on performance.
Contract job:
This is a contract position with the possibility of long-term employment depending on project availability.
Own visa jobs:
Preference will be given to candidates who possess their own visa for working in Faroe Islands.
