Executive Chef - Faroe Islands
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in the beautiful Faroe Islands. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and presentation, creating and executing menus, managing inventory and budgets, and ensuring a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain menus that reflect our restaurant's style and vision
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure the highest quality standards are met
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, delegating tasks as necessary
- Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and control costs
- Create and implement systems for proper storage, handling, and rotation of food products
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and budget management
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality dishes consistently
- Knowledge of local ingredients and cuisine is a plus
Salary: $900 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: This is a contract job located in the picturesque Faroe Islands. We welcome both local candidates as well as those who are interested in relocating for this opportunity.
