Sous Chef - Faroe Islands
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at our high-end restaurant in the beautiful Faroe Islands. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen, while maintaining high-quality standards and creating exceptional dishes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in creating menu items and developing new recipes
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed while keeping within budget
- Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Handle any issues or concerns that arise in a professional manner
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Diploma in Culinary Arts or relevant field is preferred
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month along with other benefits such as accommodation, meals during working hours, and paid vacation.
