Crane Operator

A reputable construction company in Faroe-Islands is seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team on a contract basis. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:
- Operate different types of cranes such as mobile, tower, and overhead cranes
- Inspect crane before and after use to ensure safe operation
- Interpret and follow signals from ground crew or other operators
- Safely lift, move, and position materials according to project plans
- Ensure proper rigging techniques are used for each lift
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust crane operation accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and inspections
- Communicate effectively with team members on the ground

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Crane Operator in a construction setting
- Valid crane operator certification/license
- Knowledge of different types of cranes and their capabilities
- Ability to read blueprints and understand project plans
- Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues
- Physically fit with the ability to handle heavy equipment
- Attention to detail with a focus on safety
- Good communication skills

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1200 per month for this contract position.

This position is based in Faroe Islands.
