Part-Time Crane Operator


We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator for our company based in Faroe-Islands. As a Part-Time Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment on construction sites or in industrial settings.

Responsibilities:
- Operate different types of cranes according to job requirements, including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes
- Perform pre-operational checks on the crane, including checking for any damages or malfunctions
- Set up the crane by extending the boom and attaching loads using slings, chains or hooks
- Maneuver the crane by using hand signals or radio commands from a spotter
- Lift and move materials to designated locations safely and efficiently
- Inspect rigging equipment regularly to ensure it is in good condition
- Communicate with other workers on site to ensure safe operation of the crane
- Perform routine maintenance on the crane such as lubricating parts and replacing worn out components
- Keep accurate records of daily activities including hours worked, materials lifted, and any incidents or accidents that occur

Requirements:
- Valid crane operator certification from a recognized training institute
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating different types of cranes
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to crane operation
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Good communication skills to effectively communicate with other workers on site

Working Conditions:
The Part-Time Crane Operator will work approximately 20 hours per week on a flexible schedule. Our company offers competitive pay starting at $1000 per month. Visa sponsorship may be provided for non-Faroese nationals.
