Executive Pastry Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in the beautiful Faroe Islands. As the Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the pastry department and creating delicious desserts and pastries that will delight our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing new dessert and pastry menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef
- Managing inventory and ordering of ingredients, ensuring quality and freshness
- Training and supervising pastry team members, providing guidance and support
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area
- Collaborating with other departments to create special desserts for events or special occasions
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Degree or certificate in baking/pastry arts preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire your team
- Excellent time management skills, able to handle multiple tasks at once
- Creative mindset with a passion for creating unique desserts
- Strong knowledge of different pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations
