Database Administrator for Biometric Passport System
As a Database Administrator for our Biometric Passport System, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the database infrastructure that supports our cutting-edge passport verification technology. Located in the vibrant city of Aarhus, Denmark, you will work full-time to ensure the smooth and secure operation of our biometric passport system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of our database systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or errors that may arise
- Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization
- Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Develop and implement data migration strategies as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Database Administrator in a production environment
- Proficiency in SQL and database management tools (e.g. Oracle, MySQL)
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Strong understanding of data security principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
