Cashier at Aarhus Convenience Store

Are you a detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills? We are currently seeking a Cashier to join our team at Aarhus Convenience Store in the bustling city of Aarhus, Denmark. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions, maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, and providing friendly and helpful service to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a warm welcome and assist them with their purchases
- Scan items accurately and process payments using cash, credit cards, or other forms of payment
- Maintain knowledge of current sales promotions and policies to effectively answer customer questions
- Ensure all products are priced correctly and report any discrepancies to management
- Keep checkout area clean and organized, including stocking bags, cleaning conveyor belts, and wiping down counters
- Handle returns and exchanges in a timely manner according to store policies
- Follow proper cash handling procedures and maintain accurate records of transactions
- Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving any issues or complaints in a professional manner

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service preferred
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Danish is a plus)
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have attention to detail and able to multitask efficiently
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
