Head Pastry Chef
We are in search of a skilled and creative Head Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in the vibrant city of Aarhus. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all pastry operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality desserts and pastries to our guests. Your expertise in creating unique and delicious desserts will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new pastry recipes that align with our restaurant's concept and standards
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients for the pastry department
- Train, supervise, and mentor other pastry chefs and kitchen staff
- Monitor food costs and maintain budget for the pastry department
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive dessert menus that complement the main dishes
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in a fine dining setting
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent training is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of different baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Creativity and passion for creating visually appealing desserts using innovative techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards
- Must be flexible with working hours including weekends and holidays
Salary: 1200$
