Job Title: Head Pastry Chef
As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the pastry department of our upscale restaurant in Aarhus, Denmark. You will use your creative flair and passion for pastry to lead and inspire a team of talented pastry chefs to create delicious desserts and pastries that will leave our customers wanting more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus for our dessert offerings, ensuring they align with the overall concept of the restaurant
- Oversee the production of all pastries and desserts, maintaining high quality and consistency
- Train, mentor, and lead a team of pastry chefs to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills to excel in their roles
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained at all times
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments as needed to maintain profitability
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times in accordance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of different pastry techniques, methods, and ingredients
- Ability to lead a team effectively, delegate tasks, and provide guidance when needed
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing new dessert ideas that will wow our customers
Salary: 1400$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
