Job Title: Preservation Architect


We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Aalborg on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preserving historical buildings and structures, while also ensuring their functionality and safety. As a Preservation Architect, you will work closely with clients, contractors, and other professionals to plan and execute restoration projects.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine their condition and necessary preservation measures
- Develop preservation plans that address structural issues, historical significance, and functionality
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of preservation projects
- Utilize knowledge of building materials and techniques from different eras to select appropriate methods for restoration
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation projects
- Oversee construction work to ensure it aligns with the preservation plan and meets all necessary requirements
- Monitor project progress and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the restoration process
- Stay up-to-date on relevant regulations and guidelines for historic preservation

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field (preferably with a focus on historic preservation)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation projects
- Strong knowledge of building materials, techniques, and styles from different eras
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and other professionals effectively
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex information to develop effective preservation plans
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines for historic preservation is preferred

Salary:
1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location:
Aalborg (visa sponsorship available)
