Cashier - Aalborg, Denmark
We are hiring a skilled and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team in Aalborg, Denmark. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing payments and providing excellent customer service to our clients. Your main duties will include operating cash registers, handling cash and card transactions, and ensuring accurate pricing of products.
To be successful in this role, you should have strong math skills, excellent communication abilities, and a friendly demeanor. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Basic computer knowledge and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are also essential.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them with their purchases
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately
- Scan items and ensure correct pricing
- Process returns and exchanges according to company policies
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas
- Address customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism
- Promote store loyalty programs and special offers to customers
- Maintain knowledge of current sales promotions and events
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Proven work experience as a Cashier or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Strong math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Friendly demeanor with excellent communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
