We are currently hiring a skilled Database Administrator to join our growing IT team in Esbjerg, Denmark. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their security, availability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in database administration and a strong understanding of database management systems.

Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing and maintaining database structures
- Ensuring data security and integrity through regular backups and disaster recovery plans
- Monitoring database performance and optimizing for efficiency
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues or errors that arise
- Collaborating with other IT team members to ensure smooth integration of databases with other applications
- Providing technical support to end-users as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle or other relevant database management systems
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery and security procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS or Azure
- Certification in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as SQL, Python or Java
