Entry Level Database Administrator

As an Entry Level Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases in Esbjerg. Your main duties will include organizing and storing data, ensuring data security and integrity, and troubleshooting any database issues that may arise. You will also work closely with our IT team to analyze database performance and make recommendations for improvements. This position is open to all nationalities, however, accommodation and a valid biometric passport are required.

To be successful in this role, you should have a basic understanding of database management systems and SQL. Previous experience in database administration is not required but would be considered a plus. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills who is eager to learn and grow in the field of database administration.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain databases according to company policies and procedures
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform regular backups
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls and monitoring user activity
- Optimize database performance by analyzing data usage patterns
- Collaborate with IT team to develop strategies for data storage, backup, and recovery
- Keep abreast of latest developments in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Basic understanding of database management systems such as MySQL or Oracle
- Familiarity with SQL language
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (Danish language skills would be a plus)
- Valid biometric passport
