Junior Database Administrator

As a Junior Database Administrator in our dynamic and growing company, you will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and performance of our databases. Your main tasks will include updating and maintaining existing databases, as well as implementing new databases and optimizing their performance. You will work closely with our IT team to troubleshoot any issues that arise and ensure the security of our data. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Previous experience with database management systems is required, and certifications in relevant fields are preferred.

As a Junior Database Administrator, you will be expected to:

- Maintain and update existing databases, ensuring their reliability and performance.
- Design new databases based on user requirements.
- Monitor database activity and performance, identifying potential issues and taking corrective action.
- Implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access or loss.
- Troubleshoot database issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate databases into other systems or applications.
- Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in database technology.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle).
- Familiarity with database design principles.
- Experience with SQL scripting languages.
- Understanding of data security best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Location: Esbjerg, Denmark

Salary: 1700$ per month
