We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Esbjerg, Denmark. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases to ensure they are secure, efficient, and reliable.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and maintain database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Create and maintain documentation of database systems
- Ensure database security by implementing access controls and monitoring user activity
- Work with development teams to design and implement new databases or enhance existing ones
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure integration of databases with other systems
- Conduct regular database maintenance activities such as data purging and archiving

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server)
- Experience with performance tuning, backup/restore processes, and disaster recovery planning
- Proficient in SQL scripting language
- Familiarity with data modeling tools
- Good understanding of database security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluent in English (Danish language proficiency is a plus)
