Database Administrator (Contract)

We are hiring a skilled Database Administrator to join our team on a contract basis in Esbjerg, Denmark. Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
- Perform regular backups to ensure data integrity
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data
- Maintain database documentation and data dictionaries
- Collaborate with IT team to identify and resolve database-related issues
- Develop data models and perform database design activities
- Optimize stored procedures for maximum efficiency

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with data backup and recovery processes
- Experience with database design and normalization principles
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
