We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Esbjerg, Denmark. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and managing kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop innovative and high-quality menus that align with the restaurant's concept and target market
- Oversee food purchasing, inventory management, and cost control to ensure budget goals are met
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Monitor food quality and ensure all meals are prepared according to recipes and standards
- Maintain a safe and sanitary working environment in compliance with health codes and regulations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
- Continuously research current industry trends and incorporate them into menu development
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fine dining or high-end establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team of kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with a passion for creating visually appealing dishes
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required
- Fluent in English (Danish language skills are a plus)
Salary:
Salary for this position is 1200$ per week. The exact salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
