Head Chef
We are a busy restaurant located in the vibrant city of Esbjerg, Denmark. We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team and lead our kitchen operations. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus, managing inventory and costs, training and supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring high-quality food is consistently being served to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus based on seasonality, availability of ingredients, and customer feedback
- Manage inventory levels to ensure all necessary ingredients are always available
- Monitor costs to ensure profitability while maintaining high-quality standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and providing feedback
- Ensure all health and safety standards are followed in the kitchen at all times
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain consistency and quality
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of different cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail in food preparation, presentation, and cleanliness of the kitchen
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
