Lead Pastry Chef



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Pastry Chef to join our team in Esbjerg, Denmark. As the Lead Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department, including creating and executing new menu items, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and training and supervising junior pastry chefs.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new pastry menu items that align with our restaurant's concept and vision
- Ensure high-quality standards are met in all pastry products through proper recipe execution and presentation
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed to meet production demands
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior pastry chefs in proper techniques, recipes, and plating presentations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to comply with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve our pastry offerings

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role for at least 3 years
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and safety procedures
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing new menu items
- Ability to lead a team while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with other kitchen staff
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred but not required
- Certification from an accredited culinary program is an asset
- Danish or European nationality is preferred
Salary: 1400$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
