Job Title: Gardener

We are hiring a skilled Gardener to maintain and enhance the green spaces of our city, Esbjerg. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per month. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for planting, pruning, and caring for trees, flowers, and other plants in public parks, gardens, and other outdoor spaces. You will also be in charge of maintaining the overall appearance and health of these green areas.

Responsibilities:

- Planting and maintaining trees, flowers, shrubs, and other plants in public parks and gardens
- Pruning and shaping trees and shrubs to ensure healthy growth
- Watering plants as needed and monitoring for signs of disease or pests
- Applying fertilizers and pesticides to promote plant growth
- Maintaining the overall appearance of outdoor spaces by mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and removing weeds
- Operating and maintaining gardening equipment such as lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and hand tools
- Collaborating with other members of the gardening team to plan seasonal displays
- Ensuring that all gardening work is completed safely and efficiently

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Gardener or similar role
- Knowledge of different types of plants, their care requirements, and common diseases/pests
- Ability to operate gardening equipment effectively
- Physical stamina to work outdoors for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail for maintaining the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces
- Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate with other members of the gardening team

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification or training in horticulture or related field
- Previous experience working in a public park or garden setting
- Fluency in Danish (or proficiency in English with willingness to learn Danish)
