We are hiring a skilled and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team at a busy retail store in Horsens, Denmark. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by processing transactions accurately and efficiently. Your main duties will include handling cash and card payments, providing change and receipts, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

To excel in this role, you must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information with integrity.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a friendly attitude and assist them with their purchases
- Scan items quickly and accurately using the POS system
- Process cash and card payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- Provide correct change and issue receipts to customers
- Maintain an organized checkout area by replenishing supplies as needed
- Handle returns and exchanges following store policies
- Keep track of inventory for items sold at the checkout counter
- Answer customer inquiries or escalate them to the appropriate department if necessary
- Ensure all transactions are completed in a timely manner while adhering to all cash handling procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification is a plus
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints or difficult situations professionally
- Basic math skills with the ability to calculate change quickly and accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems is preferred but not required; we will provide training on our system
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed
