Executive Chef
The Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations for our upscale restaurant in Horsens. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating innovative and high-quality dishes, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing a team. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1200$, without accommodation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative menu items that align with the restaurant's concept and appeal to our target audience
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to the highest quality standards
- Manage food inventory and ordering, ensuring efficient use of ingredients and minimizing waste
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts and conducting performance evaluations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with management to plan special events and promotions
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and make recommendations for menu changes or improvements
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in an upscale restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and industry trends
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
