Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef at our upscale restaurant in Horsens, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high standards of food quality and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Head Chef with menu planning and creating new dishes
- Supervising kitchen staff, delegating tasks and ensuring their adherence to food safety regulations
- Preparing and cooking dishes according to recipes and plating standards
- Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as needed
- Monitoring food costs and minimizing waste
- Conducting regular inspections of food storage areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fine dining restaurant
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Familiarity with menu planning and recipe development
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with other team members
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred
- Food safety certification is required
- Knowledge of Danish cuisine is a plus
Salary:
