Skilled Turner in Roskilde


We are currently seeking a skilled Turner to join our team in Roskilde. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various lathes and other machinery to shape metal parts according to specifications. Your main duties will include setting up and adjusting machines, selecting appropriate tools and materials, and monitoring the production process to ensure quality.

To be successful in this role, you should have strong technical skills and experience working with metalworking machinery. You must also be able to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy. The ideal candidate will also have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate lathes, grinders, drills, and other machinery to shape metal parts
- Read blueprints or technical drawings to determine specifications
- Select appropriate tools and materials for each job
- Set up machines by installing fixtures, tools, or attachments
- Adjust machine settings for optimal performance
- Monitor production process to ensure quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during production
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Turner or similar role
- Strong technical skills in metalworking and machine operation
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools accurately
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills in English (Danish is a plus)
- Must have valid work permit for Denmark
