Preservation Architect
We are hiring a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Roskilde, Denmark. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic structures while ensuring they meet modern building codes and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of architectural history and preservation techniques, as well as experience in project management and construction.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on the history and architectural significance of buildings
- Assessing the condition of historic structures and developing preservation plans
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to execute restoration projects
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local government agencies
- Monitoring construction progress to ensure adherence to preservation guidelines
- Documenting all work for historical record keeping purposes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in historic preservation
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials, and techniques
- Experience in project management and construction processes
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients
- Ability to obtain necessary permits and approvals from local government agencies
Salary: $1300 per month (negotiable based on experience)
