Project Manager: Women's Empowerment and Development
As a Project Manager for Women's Empowerment and Development in Odense, you will be responsible for managing and implementing projects that promote gender equality, women's rights, and overall development of women in the community. This includes planning, budgeting, overseeing project activities, and ensuring project objectives are met within the given timeframe. You will work closely with local partners and stakeholders to identify needs and design interventions that address the specific challenges faced by women in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project proposals, budgets, and work plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee all aspects of project implementation including monitoring progress, identifying challenges, and ensuring timely delivery of project outputs.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities and provide technical support to project partners.
- Build strong relationships with local partners and stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.
- Facilitate capacity building workshops for project staff and partner organizations on gender mainstreaming approaches.
- Develop gender-sensitive monitoring and evaluation tools to track progress towards project objectives.
- Prepare regular reports on project progress for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in gender studies, international development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing projects related to women's empowerment or gender equality.
- Strong understanding of gender issues, human rights principles, and international frameworks related to women's empowerment.
- Experience working with local communities and organizations on women's rights programming.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, develop work plans, monitor progress, and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English (written & spoken). Knowledge of Danish is an asset.
