Database Administrator

The Database Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and performance of our company's databases. They will work closely with our IT team to design, implement, and maintain database systems that meet the needs of our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of database architecture and management, as well as knowledge of database security and backup procedures. The ideal candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to troubleshoot technical issues quickly. This is a part-time position located in Odense, with no accommodation provided. The Database Administrator will be responsible for:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems
- Ensuring data integrity and security
- Monitoring database performance and making necessary adjustments
- Troubleshooting technical issues related to databases
- Collaborating with IT team to develop and implement database strategies
- Conducting regular backups and disaster recovery plans
- Managing user access and permissions to databases
- Identifying areas for improvement in database systems

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong understanding of database architecture and management principles
- Proficient in SQL language for querying databases
- Knowledge of database security procedures and backup/recovery methods
- Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin or ER/Studio is preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly
