Executive Chef
As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation at our high-end restaurant in Odense. You will work closely with the management team to create and develop menus, ensure food quality and consistency, and manage kitchen staff. This role requires a highly skilled and creative chef with excellent leadership abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that are innovative, appealing, and in line with our restaurant's concept
- Oversee food purchasing, inventory management, and cost control
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality and efficient operations
- Monitor food preparation methods to maintain high standards of taste, appearance, and portion size
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions that showcase the restaurant's cuisine
- Manage kitchen budget and maintain accurate records of expenses
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu development
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, flavors, and plating presentations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with other departments
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Degree or certification in culinary arts is preferred
