Database Administrator
Location: Kolding, Denmark
A database administrator is responsible for maintaining and managing the databases of an organization. They ensure that data is organized, secure, and easily accessible to authorized users. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various database management systems, such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL. They should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Create and maintain databases according to organizational needs
- Develop and implement backup and recovery plans
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls and regular backups
- Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database structures for better performance
- Identify inefficiencies in current databases and make recommendations for improvement
- Train employees on how to use the databases effectively
Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in computer science or a related field
- Proven experience in database administration, preferably with SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly
- Knowledge of database design principles and data security best practices
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, and migration processes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple databases and high volumes of data
- Certification in relevant database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL or Python
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1000$ per month.
