Typesetter (Contract)



We are in search of a skilled Typesetter to join our team on a contract basis. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for creating and formatting text for various printed materials such as books, magazines, and newspapers. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines will be crucial in this role.

Responsibilities:
- Use computer software to arrange text and images according to design specifications
- Proofread and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar
- Ensure consistency in font style, size, and spacing throughout the document
- Make necessary adjustments to layout based on design changes or client feedback
- Collaborate with designers, editors, and other team members to ensure the final product meets quality standards
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role
- Proficiency in using typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Excellent knowledge of typography, layout design, and printing processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members effectively
