Job Title: Chef de Cuisine
The successful candidate for the role of Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen in Kolding, Denmark. As a skilled and experienced chef, you will bring creativity, passion, and innovation to our menu offerings while ensuring the highest level of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities according to our standards
- Create and develop new menu items that meet customer preferences and seasonal availability
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control measures
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and safety standards in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team under pressure
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to create unique dishes that combine flavor profiles from different cultures
- Familiarity with Danish cuisine is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English; Danish language skills are a plus
