Metal Worker


A metal worker is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and products. They work with a variety of materials, including steel, iron, aluminum, and brass. The job requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and drawings to determine project specifications
- Cut, shape, and bend metal using various tools such as saws, shears, and presses
- Weld or solder pieces together to create a finished product
- Smooth and polish surfaces using grinders or sanders
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Repair or replace damaged parts as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in metalworking
- Strong technical skills in cutting, shaping, welding, and polishing metal
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings accurately
- Familiarity with various tools and equipment used in metalworking
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects if necessary
