Glazier Apprentice
As a glazier apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the trade of glass cutting and installation. This is a hands-on role that requires physical strength and attention to detail. You will be responsible for assisting with measuring, cutting, and installing various types of glass in residential and commercial buildings. Your duties may also include cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment, organizing work areas, and following safety protocols at all times. Responsibilities:
- Assist with measuring, cutting, and installing glass according to specifications
- Learn how to use various tools and equipment such as cutters, grinders, and drills
- Clean work areas and maintain tools in good condition
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Work closely with experienced glaziers to learn new techniques and skills
- Help organize materials and keep track of inventory
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical strength and ability to lift heavy objects
- Detail-oriented with good hand-eye coordination
- Willingness to learn new skills from experienced professionals
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Safety-conscious mindset
- Previous experience in construction or related field is preferred but not required
