Preservation Architect - Part Time
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures in the city of Vejle, Denmark. Your expertise in architectural design and preservation techniques will be utilized to ensure the historical integrity of these structures is maintained while also making them functional for modern use.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and assessments to determine the condition of historic buildings
- Develop preservation plans and designs that adhere to local regulations and standards
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to implement preservation projects
- Utilize traditional and modern construction techniques to restore historic structures
- Source materials that are historically accurate for restoration projects
- Perform research on the history of buildings to inform preservation efforts
- Maintain accurate documentation of all preservation work
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in preservation architecture
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and best practices for historic preservation
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Excellent research skills with a passion for history and architecture
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas effectively
Salary:
This is a part-time position with a salary of $1700 per month.
