Florist Assistant


Florist Assistants are responsible for assisting and supporting professional florists in creating beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions. They work closely with the head florist to ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently, while providing exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for flowers and a desire to learn and grow in the field of floral design.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and condition flowers, foliage, and other materials for use in arrangements
- Assist in creating unique floral designs according to customer requests and specifications
- Maintain inventory of supplies and materials, ensuring they are well-stocked at all times
- Greet customers, take orders, and provide recommendations on flower selection based on occasion, budget, and preferences
- Assist with arranging flowers in vases, baskets, or other containers as needed
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for customers
- Help with delivery of floral arrangements to customers or event venues as needed

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with flowers or in a similar customer service role preferred
- Knowledge of different types of flowers, their care instructions, and their suitability for different occasions
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects such as flower buckets or arrangements

Salary:
The starting salary for this position is 1700$ per month.
