Head Chef - Scandinavian Cuisine (Vejle, Denmark)



We are seeking a talented Head Chef with a passion for Scandinavian cuisine to lead our kitchen team in Vejle, Denmark. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus that showcase the unique flavors and ingredients of the region while also maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menus that reflect the seasonal produce and local specialties of Scandinavia.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in quality, presentation, and portioning.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain an efficient and well-stocked kitchen.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating to ensure all dishes are executed to perfection.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with management to create special event menus or catering options.
- Stay up-to-date on current food trends and incorporate innovative techniques into menu development.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Chef in a fine dining establishment or luxury hotel.
- Extensive knowledge of Scandinavian cuisine, including traditional cooking methods and modern interpretations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments within the restaurant.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required.
